My Friend

When I pray, You listen to me.
When I don’t know what to say,
You give me words to speak.
O my God, Your love amazes me!
You’re my Friend, who first loved me.
The Creator of the universe,
Yet You’re interested in me!
O my Lord, I know it’s true;
‘Cause even now, You’re drawing me to You.

Before I ever thought of seeking You,
You were seeking me.
Before I ever thought of loving You,
You were loving me.
Before I ever even knew Your name,
You knew all of my days.
So, I come to You again. I come confident.
I come to You again, my Friend.
