Past The Sorrow

There’s a freedom in brokenness many refuse to try.
It so offends the mind and flesh to willingly choose to die.
But the secret in dying is hidden in the seed –
Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground,
It misses destiny.

Jesus said, Whosoever would come after Me
Must take up their cross and follow after Me,
And whosoever loses their life for My sake
Will find it again – past the sorrow.

So, I push past the sorrow, embracing the cross,
And present myself to You a living sacrifice.
